Sanken STR3W400MXD Series: Off-line Converters for Compact Power Supplies

The STR3W400MXD series are off-line converter ICs with a green mode that optimizes oscillation frequency according to load.

The green mode decreases an oscillation frequency to a load-appropriate level, thus reducing switching losses in a power MOSFET. This allows you to build a power supply that yields high efficiency in all load ranges.

These ICs will best suit applications where efficiency at light to medium loads needs to be regulated, such as by the ErP Directive.

The STR3W400MXD series comes in a TO220F-6L package, making your power supply more compact and cost-effective.
